Threaded Lid
This Lid is formed from .120″ thick stainless steel. A thinner top plate is spot welded over a recess on the Lid to provide a locking mechanism. The thick sidewall allows for the machining of threads.
Doors
These stainless steel parts are doors for commercial washing machines. Flange flatness is important to ensure proper assembly. The circular brush finish creates an attractive appearance.
Cryogenic Tank Bases
These aluminum cans are Outer Bases for cryogenic tanks. A combination of spinning and drawing is the most cost effective approach to making these parts. The bottom contour provides strength and stability for the unit. The stiffening ribs provide additional strength in the midsection of the assembly.
Portable Cryogenic Tank
This two piece aluminum assembly is the outer tank for a cryogenic system. Important part features are the fit of the joggled lower shell to the upper shell, stiffening ribs on the lower shell, and a consistent wall thickness throughout.
Copper Cone
This copper part is a lamp cover for a low-voltage outdoor lamp. The bell shape adds interest and beauty to the lamp.
Bearing Cage
Bearing Cages require an excellent surface finish, consistent wall thickness, and precision geometry. Critical features are roundness and concentricity. HMS achieves this through a combination of CNC spinning and machining. Bearing cages range in size from 3″ to 15″ in diameter with wall thicknesses of .048″ to 0.250″.
Engine Air Inlet
This aluminum part is the front of a shroud for a small turbine engine. A smooth profile is required for proper air flow. This shape is commonly referred to as a “donut”. Spinning is an excellent manufacturing process for this type of shape.
Basket Back
This large stainless steel cone part is the back of the drum for a large commercial washing machine. A combination of spinning and drawing creates a cost effective part. The cosmetic portion of this part is the conical area, which has a brush finish.
Skirt
This stainless steel ring is a component for a commercial juicing machine. The Skirt acts as a shield and is mated with a cylindrical part to create the funneling system for the juicer.
Mini Tank and End Cap
This Mini Tank and End Cap are components of a portable cryogenic oxygen system. The parts are drawn from .018″ thick stainless. The End Cap requires a stepped lid, or joggle, which facilitates assembly. Extruded holes are used to support tubes which are welded to the assembly. This cost effective two-piece design saves time over […]
